Dear Mr. Rhones,

Please be advised that ANC 6E voted unanimously on May 1^th 2013 for the implementation of angled parking on the west side of the 1100 block of 6^th St. NW on Sundays from 7:00am until 3:00pm. A quorum was present and the motion passed 7-0-0.   The new parking signs will read that angled parking is from 7:00am until 3:00pm on Sundays.  It is our understanding that double parking will no longer  be allowed after the new signs are installed.

In addition the Commissioners of 6E are asking for strict enforcement of the parking regulations after 3:00pm on Sundays.  After 3:00pm parked vehicles need to be parallel parked in order to make south bound 6^th St. NW two lanes.  Please work with the Metropolitan Police Department and the Department of Public Works for enforcement.  We asked that the Galbraith A.M.E. Zion Church work with the residents to provide parking spaces if they do not have the opportunity to move their car to angled parking.
